Oh, boy. The scientists are going nuts. Every day, the James Webb telescope sends back new pictures from space that contradict the “Big Bang Theory.” The astrophysicists and astronomers are pulling their hair out. (Well, not all of them.)
“I have seen the business that God has given to the children of man to be busy with. He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man’s heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.” Ecc 3:10-12 ESV
The James Webb telescope has made a number of unexpected discoveries about our Universe’s beginnings. Newly discovered ancient and luminous galaxies challenge science’s long-held belief in how early galaxies were formed. This revelation has upended their knowledge of the early Universe. They began with their secular assumption: There is no God, and through naturalistic processes tried to explain how the Universe was created without a Creator. It really doesn’t work well. Astrophysicists are in shock about the findings, which suggest that the Big Bang theory is wrong. (A theory put forth by secularists who wish to teach that the Universe was created from nothing.)
Alexandra Witze wrote in Nature Magazine, “The telescope’s astonishingly sharp pictures have shattered astronomers’ preconceptions about the early universe.”
Once again, it’s because of a philosophical commitment to the idea that we must explain everything in natural terms. Renowned scientists Michio Kaku and Neil deGrasse Tyson have both publicly stated that the current theories about the beginning of the Universe may be incorrect. Despite this upheaval, it is comforting to remember that God’s power and wisdom are beyond anyone’s comprehension. As scientists, cosmologists and astrophysicists continue to guarantee the truth of a godless creation, again, they are unable.
Perhaps, if for once, they would look into the Book that explains creation,The Bible, they’d find the answers they are looking for. Indeed, that should be the starting point.
As Isaiah 57:15 reminds us, God inhabits eternity and dwells with those who have a humble and contrite spirit.
Psalm 102:25-27 also assures us that God laid the foundation of the earth and the heavens are the work of his hands. His years have no end, and He remains the same.
“I don’t care what the value of the Hubble constant comes out to be,” said Adam Riess, an astronomer at Johns Hopkins University and a Nobel laureate. “I want to understand why our best tools — our gold standard tools — are not agreeing with each other.”
Large, Highly Structured Galaxies Contradict Big Bang Predictions
As the JWT points its very sensitive infrared instruments at the remotest parts of the Universe, very early in the “Big Bang” event, gravity would not have had or should not have had enough time to draw all of this material that formed from the initial energy and that singularity that commenced it into large, highly structured galaxies like our Milky Way. Because when you look at such things as what James Webb is finding, these incredibly detailed and intricate galaxies at the outer edges of the cosmos, it’s simply God declaring his glory to us. (Dr Mark Harwood, Creation Ministries International.)
So they expected to find indistinct, fairly small, fuzzy blobs of stars, not high structures with spiral arms and central bars and all this sort of thing. But to their astonishment, they found massive, highly structured galaxies.
Supermassive black holes contradict Big Bang expectations
Let us put our trust in Him, who is able to keep us from stumbling.
