About the Author of Assurity
Anthony Barbera is the creator of Assurity. He earned his Bachelor of Music degree in Music Composition from North Carolina School of the Arts University. Later, he worked on his Masters in Music Composition at the University of Massachusetts where he earned a teaching fellowship and won numerous composition awards, including a first place in the BMI Young Composers Award competition for voice and orchestra. After being asked to direct and help a collection of ambitious teenagers write and act in their first film for the Sonoma Film Festival—that was it. He was hooked. Anthony Barbera's novels, in order of publication: Catching Baby Moses, The First Rains of October, and Jonah In the Time of the Kings. His screenplays include, An American Psalm as well as an adaptation of his novel Catching Baby Moses and his newest work Assurity.
Science & Space Advisor
Jim Bickford (Space & Science Advisor) is currently a principal member of the technical staff at Draper in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He has led more than a dozen government, commercial, and internally funded programs, ranging from very early stage development to fielding hardware systems. He designed and led a program funded by the NASA Institute for Advanced Concepts (NIAC) that looked at the natural production and mining of antiparticles (antimatter) for space missions.
