Living Epistles

LIVING EPISTLES

"You are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men." 2 Cor 3:2

was reminded the other day of how important it is to fellowship with other Christians within the body of Christ, daily if possible. As Paul encouraged the saints at Corinth to remain the living embodiment of Jesus Christ, read of all men, so too are we invited to do likewise.

As a Christian, people take note of you, whether you realize it or not. How you speak to them and in what manner you conduct your affairs, regardless of how easy or difficult at times that may be. Paul reminds the Corinthians that it is the heart of love and the spirit of God that is revealed by them. Living Epistles. Not by the law, or rules and regulations, but by the spirit of God working to do of His good pleasure. The spirit gives life. When we hear the Word of God "fitly" spoken it touches our very souls. It stirs up the spirit within and encourages us, and we, in turn, support one another. Likewise, when we speak the Word of God to another, it can touch that person's life forever without us even being aware of the outcome. God's Word is alive; it accomplishes what He purposes. When we are together, one with another, the spirit reminds of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Our spirits are linked together with His making intercession with and for the saints. We are joint heirs. God has assembled His people, the body of Christ to honor Him and to love one another as living epistles, known and read of all men.

When we hear the Word of God "fitly" spoken it reaches into our very souls. It stirs up the spirit within and encourages us, and we, in turn, build up one another. Likewise, when we speak the Word of God to a person not a member of the body of Christ, it can touch that person's life forever without us even being aware of the outcome. God's Word is alive, it accomplishes what He purposes. Our spirits are linked together with His allowing intercession between our creator all of the saints. Joint heirs, God has assembled His people, the body of Christ to honor Him and to love one another as living epistles, known and read of all men.

Gratitude to God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

People know Christ by how they know you!

Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life. (2 Cor 3:6)
