Many thanks to Felix Barthel, who graciously allowed me to use his beautiful ship design on the cover of my novel Assurity-A Space Thriller. My planning draft design below looked very similar, so when I came upon Felix’s art I was thrilled. But of course, I’m no artist, and he is. I began designing the ship for my space novel early on. My space and science associate Jim Bickford, a truly professional space scientist, assisted me with functionality for both the antimatter drive and the proper ship layout. (As well as many, many other aspects of the novel.) As a sci-fi space writer, you must understand your space vehicles and how the crew functions within each if you are going to portray the setting with conviction. The novel is now complete and available. Many exciting adventures await Veronika Taylor Morgan and her crew aboard Assurity.
